Romantic Surprises - Romancing the Hop Blog Hop

I love romantic surprises. I love them so much, I'm usually the one planning them. A night out at a hotel, food packed in so we don't have to go out anywhere, a sexy nightie. Or maybe a walk downtown, holding hands, window shopping, then having dinner on the patio of a fancy restaurant.

I do these things because I enjoy them and it makes me happy. It also makes my hubby happy, so I don't mind that I usually do the planning.

That's why I was absolutely shocked and surprised to come home to a romantic dinner last weekend.

I'd been visiting my family and was about an hour's drive away. I had no idea he was planning anything, so I casually called him to tell him I was going to visit my grandmother but would be leaving about thirty minutes late.

I got home to find a table set with candles and wine glasses. He'd made spaghetti with our favorite Vodka sauce, garlic bread and salad. We had the house to ourselves. We ate, drank wine, talked, and enjoyed each others' company. The seven days of sex experiment had fizzled on day three when work hours changed and a second job was added into the mix. We felt like we hadn't seen each other in about a week, so it was nice to be together.

I feel blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life. He may not surprise me with weekend getaways or detail-plan a vacation the way I do, but when he brings a rose from the grocery store or cooks dinner, it's always special.

What was your favorite romantic surprise? Leave a comment with your email address and be entered into the drawing for one of three grand prizes:

1st Grand Prize: A Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet
2nd Grand Prize: A $130 Amazon or B&N Gift Card
3rd Grand Prize: A Large Swag Pack

I'll also be drawing for a $10 Amazon or Barnes and Noble gift card.

Excerpt from Freya's Journey

The dwarves were quick to shed their clothing as well, with no embarrassment from any of the brothers.  Freya watched them as they toed off their boots and let their linen breeches fall to the ground.  To be so small in stature, they were very muscular with bulging biceps, cut chests and firm legs.  And, she was happy to see, the four cocks that sprang up from all of them were long and firm and already hard.  She felt a need course through her again and made her tingle from her toes to the top of her head.  A heaviness settled deep within her belly and she could not wait for them to touch her.  "Join me," she said, reaching a hand out to them.

The four men lowered themselves into the water and immediately surrounded her.  The water wasn’t that deep. She had lowered herself into the water where she was half sitting, half floating on a boulder in the center of the spring.  If she stood, the water would just below her waist.  The water came to the small men's chests as they stood upright on the bottom.  They came closer to her, and suddenly she felt hands and mouths everywhere.  Two of the dwarves were near her back.  They rubbed and caressed the smooth skin of her spine and ass, their hands sliding down her sides under the water.  The two in front caressed her breasts, her belly, and lower, until they reached her clit.  They circled around her, touching and caressing, but never staying long in one place.  She was kissed first by the one that had spoken to her, then the others all tasted her mouth, their tongue playing with hers.

The sensations of the warm water and the hands around her made her moan in pleasure and the sound echoed from the cave walls.  A hand was on each breast, on her clit and yes, she felt fingers enter her pussy.  Her eyes closed, she didn't even know which brother it was who touched her so intimately.  Her head fell back and her hands dove under the water.  She pressed the man's hand tighter against her clit and rocked her hips back and forth, feeling the water sway around her.  The fingers in her pussy began to move in and out in rhythm with her hips and she felt that first rush of an orgasm hit her.  She moved her hands and felt under the water until she grabbed two cocks in each hand.

As the hands on her body continued to rub and move she began to pull gently on the cocks, from base to head.  She heard the men groan in pleasure as well and the cocks grew even harder in her hand.  The men came closer to her and she felt a cock rub against her back, just above her ass, and another one rubbing her leg.  She didn't know where all the hands and mouths and cocks had suddenly come from, but the sensation was overwhelming.  The two men she was jerking off stilled suddenly and she felt the cocks grow hard and stiff.  A sticky wetness covered her hands under the water.  The men moved and she felt another hard cock in her hand and another one between her legs.  The fingers had stopped and been replaced by the smooth head of a penis.  Freya opened her eyes and saw the dwarf that had spoken to her.

"I will take you first," he said, then slammed inside of her.  Freya's eyes closed in pleasure.  As the dwarf pounded into her pussy, she continued to feel hands pinching her nipples, lips kissing her, the last hard cock in her hand.  She groaned and her grip on the penis grew tighter as she felt herself getting closer to the edge.  As his brother thrust into her, Freya gripped the other's hard penis and they continued in a sexy rhythm, the water from the pond splashing on the rocks.  Push and pull, in and out, tugging and caressing and biting, until all three of them came at the same time with echoing groans of ecstasy.

  1. Thanks for the opportunity to meet you. I once "kidnapped" my husband from his worksite (got permission from his boss); we spent a wonderful weekend in a mountain retreat. Hubby's not big on romance; but I do get some flowers occasionaly, especially when he's looking for forgiveness, lol.

  2. I have the snack habits of a 2 year old .. I always have a bowl of cheerios or graham snacks to munch on throughout the day. When we were early on in dating (and lived in two different areas ) I had flown into Atlanta for a long weekend.. he had my favourite graham snacks in all the flavors there for me.

    Thanks for participating

My favorite romantic surprise was when he'd been working really hard {this was 7 or 8 years ago} and he brought me home half a dozen roses, just because he was thinking about me. What he didn't know, was that I'd already planned a candle light dinner for us and the kids were at mom in laws. :)

  10. My favorite romantic surprise was when we were dating. I came home from college one weekend, and my husband (then boyfriend) met me at my parents house with a dozen roses in mixed colors and an album (yes, the vinyl kind) of the Oak Ridge Boys that I had been wanting. I was so surprised! I still have the album. I traveled back to college on Sunday carefully balancing the vase of roses in my car so I could enjoy them the following week.

I know this is going to sound ridiculous but a romantic surprise for me is when he pays attention to the smallest details about me and then goes through the trouble of arranging something for us to do based on what he's gathered. For example, my love of cloudy, cold days and taking a walk during those days.

  68. What is the most romantic thing? Umm I would have to say the way my fiance proposed marriage to me on Thanksgiving last year...
We have a tradition in my family on Thanksgiving Day before we dish out the food we say a prayer then going around the room saying what we are thankful in our lives...When it was my fiance's turn he got up and said "I am thankful for having a wonderful passionate woman in my life, that has been able to put up my moments of being a pain and everything and has made me put on an additional 30 pounds over the course of our relationship" then he went on his knee in front of me and ask for me to marry him...
Marriage is planned for June of next year.

  72. Why I like Romance Novels….The reason I like Romance Novels so much is because it is one place where I can be anywhere like England, Scotland, Rome, Ireland, or anywhere in the US. I can also be in any time like 1200’s Scotland, 1500’s England, 1900’s Chicago. I can be anyone like a princess, a servant, a werewolf, a duchess, a vampire, or a lost soul. But no matter what I get the privilege and the experience to overcome many different obstacles and find love. I am a mother of three teenagers as well and there are many days when I need an escape and my heart needs a rest from the trials of being a parent and trying to do what is best for everyone but yourself. I have overcome cancer, loss, and financial problems and Romance Books let my heart soar and feel free. Let me tell you in this world, and during this time where life can have so many struggles it is great that you can be, have, and do so many things to find love and romance and still be yourself!

    Thanks for the giveaway: :)
