I'm still in the middle of edits on Dial A Goddess and I'm finding these strange sentences that make absolutely no sense.
Like this one:
Jessica's mother paced around the garden in front of the house where the others from prison were also behind (being) held.
Where on earth did that come from? The story has nothing to do with a garden or a prison.
Then there was this one -
Mom, you and dad can dream all you want, but you're not breaking up this set in the dining room and you're not getting any more money.
A dining room set? Again, I have no idea where these words came from. The scene had nothing to do with a dining room set.
Sometimes I think my brain is invaded by strange little bugs or monsters, or maybe the tiny people running robots from Doctor Who.
Hopefully none of these weird segues will end up in the finished book.
